The DRG grit spreader is designed for spreading the grit layer and other loose materials used in road pavement repairs. The most common application is to use it together with the emulsion sprayer, then it is a team design ed for surface road fixations. The reconstructed surface in one pass of the assembly can have a width from 0.25 m to 3.75 m and be of any length. After proper configuration, the machine can work with all types of emulsion sprinklers.
During the work of the team, the spreader is connected with the sprinkler and is pulled through it. The sprinkler performs spray with the appropriate parameters, and the spreader sprinkles with a grit the surface previously sprayed by the sprinkler. The material (mineral grit) is fed to the tipper from the dump truck and is grazed by a screw conveyor, where it is then placed on the grooved shaft, and from it through gates 0.25 m wide on the road, covering the emulsion layer.
Propulsion shaft drive is transferred from the running wheel, by a set of chain transmissions and electromagnetic clutch. The chain gear allows you to get shaft rotation equivalent to the spreader movement, and the clutch is used to disconnect the drive during maneuvers and journeys when you do not want to scatter the grit. The current laying width is determined by the operator who can work on one of the two platforms located at opposite ends of the machine. All spreader’s operational functions are operated from a portable desktop.
